Vitars Described

Here’s a page from the Exinde files called simply “Vi-Tar Description”. I’m not sure where or when this would have been used… but here it is.  There’s no new information hidden in there, except the claim that “The Vi-Tar will NOT feedback at any volume level”……. well that sounds like a challenge.

    I wouldn’t want to subject anyone to the sound of my Vitar playing, but I did install an mp3 player plugin, so when I get a chance I’ll add some samples of other people playing one. Now I need to dig out the record player….

    @Mark
    Any chance of putting some of your Vi-Tar playing on this website? I spent today in Melbourne city and went looking for some John Blair and Marc Belanger but alas no luck.

    I just have an old Kun… not sure if there’s anything else out there that would support the weight better. I forgot mine last night and had to play 3 hours straight with no shoulder rest at all… my arm is killing me today 🙂 I also definitely had some room shaking feedback going on… on purpose of course…

    ” Won’t feed back” ….. I’m not so sure, I think I have had mine screaming on a few occasions, just depends on the pedal you put in front of the amp! On a different topic, what do you suggest for a shoulder rest for this beast of a violin? I use a Willy Wolf Forte but I still find I can’t support it properly without using my left hand which very quickly leads to fatigue and then it goes back in it’s case!
